PEACE & LOVE YOUSE JACKET
Step out in style with Elle Tobin’s custom, handmade PEACE & LOVE YOUSE up-cycled military jacket! The jacket is a lightweight vintage German military (peep the German Flag patches on the sleeves). We cropped and tailored the original jacket to still embrace that oversized feeling and to make it more flattering on the figure.
Everything about this vintage jacket is very special, including its story!
The peace sign and all of the piping is created from neon green reflective materials, which is why it looks green in the first photo and white in the second photo. The reflective material glows and changes color depending on the lighting! The heart and trim are comprised of curtains found at a thrift store and leather scraps sourced from FABSCRAP. Fabscrap is an amazing organization that saves fabrics from landfills and makes them available to the general public (check them out, they are doing great sustainable things!). We took out the original epaulets and created new ones to match the handmade trim that we added to the jacket. To finish this beauty off, in true Philly STYLE, we had to add our signature custom-made LOVE YOUSE reflective patch on the front. The LOVE YOUSE patch is boarded by leather scraps sourced from FABSCRAP. This jacket is EVERYTHING and you are guaranteed to STAND OUT in this one-of-a-kind Elle Tobin treasure!
The jacket is repurposed and it belonged to a soldier at one point. Please expect flaws and signs of wear in all of our military apparel, it is part of its character and story to tell!
